Industry Consensus for Glass Sector Development

On May 25, 2025, Chairman Chen Quanfu of Xinfuxing Glass Industry Group attended the joint meeting of the presidents and secretaries-general of the China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association and provincial glass industry associations as the vice president on behalf of the company. At this meeting, the chairman and glass industry elites from all over the country gathered together to discuss new paths for high-quality development of the glass industry.

During the meeting, the heads of various work departments conducted in-depth economic operation analysis and next work reports on the three core areas of float glass, photovoltaic glass, and processed glass. Representatives of provincial associations shared the production and operation status of glass enterprises in the province and the difficulties and pain points they faced, and conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as strengthening industry self-discipline and opposing "involutionary competition".

In order to transform consensus into concrete actions, the meeting finally determined three key tasks: First, it is very necessary to hold a meeting of heads of provincial glass industry associations across the country, which can better promote the linkage between associations; second, each provincial glass association should sort out and complete the glass product use guide of "good house with good glass" in the province in combination with the climate conditions of the province, so that government departments, architects and consumers can better understand the functions of glass products and the impact on the social environment and living quality; third, each provincial glass association should complete the "15th Five-Year Plan" glass industry development guide of the province as soon as possible, and finally form a national "15th Five-Year Plan" development guide for the glass industry.

In this meeting, Xinfuxing Glass Industry Group absorbed experience and knowledge from other excellent glass fields, and established friendly communication and technical exchange channels with many parties at the meeting. In recent years, the group has conscientiously implemented relevant national laws, regulations and standards, and constantly improved itself and worked hard in the tide of changing times. In the severe market environment, we must objectively understand and accurately judge the current industry development situation of the adjustment of external market demand structure and the accelerated transformation of internal industrial structure; we must adhere to policy guidance, deeply understand the connotation and requirements of high-quality development, grasp policy guidance, follow the laws of market operation and industrial development, expand new areas, new demands and new markets for industry development; we must strengthen collaborative innovation. At the same time, photovoltaic companies in various provinces took this exchange as an opportunity to explore the cooperation potential of the three parties in technology complementarity, supply chain coordination and market development, and contribute to the development of the country's "dual carbon" cause.
