Our 2.5mm tempered photovoltaic glass is a balanced universal solar glass designed to strike an optimal balance between mechanical rigidity, lightweight performance and optical efficiency. Positioned between ultra-thin 1.6/2.0mm glass and traditional 3.2mm heavy glass, it serves as a cost-effective all-round solution for monofacial and bifacial double-glass modules. Adopting ultra-low iron float substrate and mature full tempering craft, it delivers stable strength, high light transmittance and wide environmental adaptability, applicable to ground power stations, rooftop PV, floating PV and fishery-solar complementary projects.
1. Balanced Weight & Structural Safety Compared with conventional 3.2mm PV glass, 2.5mm design reduces module weight by around 22%, lowering transportation expense, installation load and bracket pressure for rooftops and floating platforms. Optimized tempering process greatly upgrades anti-impact and anti-hail performance. It features higher rigidity than 1.6mm & 2.0mm thin glass, less prone to breakage during lamination, transportation and on-site construction, lowering module reject rate and after-sales damage risk.
2. High Light Transmittance for Higher Power Generation Low-iron raw material with Fe₂O₃ ≤0.012%,Optional single/double-sided anti-reflection (AR) coating boosts overall transmittance to over 94%. For bifacial double-glass panels, excellent rear-side light penetration captures reflected albedo from water, soil and ground, raising bifacial power gain and overall station revenue.
3. Outstanding Weather & Corrosion Resistance Suitable for complex outdoor working conditions: high temperature, heavy rain, acid rain, coastal salt mist and strong UV radiation. Passes long-term salt spray and damp-heat aging tests, with stable coating and optical performance without obvious attenuation. Precise edge grinding and sealing inhibit water vapor infiltration, effectively restraining PID and cell microcracks, guaranteeing consistent power output throughout the 25 year service cycle.
4. Optional Anti-Soiling Self-Clean Coating Custom anti-dust coating is available. Rainwater spreads into even water film to flush dust, bird droppings and salt deposits automatically. It reduces manual cleaning frequency, cuts O&M costs for large ground plants, floating and coastal PV projects, and avoids hot spot risks caused by long-term surface contamination.
5. Strong Compatibility & Flexible Customization Fully compatible with TOPCon, HJT, PERC, bifacial and all mainstream high-efficiency cell technologies, matching both single-glass and double-glass module production lines. Support customized dimensions, edge chamfering, single/double-sided AR coating, anti-soiling functional layer and packaging solutions to satisfy different module manufacturers and project requirements.
